Shay is a Biochemistry major from Summerfield, North Carolina with plans to pursue PhD after graduating in 2024.
Jeremiah Brincken
Jeremy is a Biochemistry major with plans to pursue PhD after graduating in 2025. He likes longboarding, hiking and CHEMISTRY ;-)
Andrew Treat
Andrew is a Biochemistry undergraduate with a passion for medicine, currently working towards his Bachelor’s Degree in hopes to later obtain his M.D. Ph.D. His experience as a combat medic in the Army and as a FireFighter/EMT reflects his commitment to serving others. Andrew is also passionate about hobby chemistry, equestrian activities, and cherishes his time with his loved ones.

Bailey is first generation student pursuing my junior year in chemistry (concentration: ACS) and psychology (minor: forensic science). Originally a biology major, she took an interest in organic chemistry after taking Dr. De Meo’s lecture course and chose to work in her lab. Currently, she aspire to be a general dentist and will apply to dental school in the fall of 2024.
Danielle Zykan
Danielle is from Greenville, Illinois. She is a Chemistry major with a specialization in Secondary Education and minor in Forensics. Outside of research, she has been a Chemistry Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader, an active member of SIUE Chemistry Club, and a volunteer with the STEM Forward project.
Maddeson Sparks
Maddeson is from Collinsville, Illinois. She is a Chemistry major with a specialization in ACS Certified Biochemistry and minor in Biology.
